Reverse trade mission for European banana importers & distributors

Proexca, in collaboration with ASPROCAN, invites you to participate in a reverse trade mission to the Canary Islands. This is your exclusive opportunity to directly connect and forge commercial partnerships with Plátano de Canarias producers, the only banana in the world with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) and with a  recognized presence in the European market.

Over the course of three days, you will gain first-hand insight into the Plátano de Canarias ecosystem, focusing on quality, environmental commitment, and production methods that will enable you to differentiate your offering in your local market.

Following this trade mission to the Canary Islands, Asprocan will organise for the new customers a promotional tasting event at points of sale in December 2025 in the Belgian and Dutch markets.

Event Dates: From November 11th to 13th, 2025.

Registration Deadline: October 31th, 2025, at 14:00 PM CET.

Location: Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

Available Slots: Limited availability.

Why Plátano de Canarias?

Plátano de Canarias is more than just a fruit; it represents a commitment to unparalleled quality, sustainable cultivation, and unique flavor, protected by its European PGI status.

Generation after generation, Plátano de Canarias has been woven into the life, landscape and customs of the islands. The family character of this production is reflected in the average farm size of one hectare. This focus on family intrinsically demands maximum sustainability criteria, as Plátano de Canarias represents the livelihood of thousands of small producers.

The Canary Islands are one of the outermost regions of the European Union. The production of Plátano de Canarias represents 65% of European banana production, thus guaranteeing strict compliance with European standards and regulations across environmental, social, labor, and production standards. This provides a clear differentiation from our global competitors.

Discover the specific characteristics, quality seals, and logistical advantages that make Plátano de Canarias the perfect product for your European market offering.
